What Is Family Care?
Family care is the medical specialty which provides comprehensive and continuous health care services for individuals and entire family units. As a leading Hendersonville family care physician, RightCare specializes in a tremendous breadth of services which integrates biological, clinical, and behavioral medical sciences. The scope of family care encompasses all ages, sexes, organ systems, and every disease entity. The team at RightCare Family Practice includes family physicians, physician’s assistants, and family nurse practitioners.
The concept of a Family Medicine Center was first introduced by the American Academy of Pediatrics. At the time of its initial introduction, the AAP defined the medical home as the center of a child’s medical records. At the time, the care of children with special health care needs was the primary focus of the medical home concept. Over time, however, the definition of the medical home has evolved to reflect changing needs and perspectives in health care. The model which we follow is greatly expanded to incorporate comprehensive primary care to children, adolescents, and adults.
